I’m sure you’ve sat on your fair share of park benches and wished that they were made to be whole lot kinder on your behind than they currently are.
Probably picking up on this cue, Tembolat Gugkaev designed the Softa Outdoor Bench that’s not exactly a bench and not exactly a sofa. You can see that it basically looks like a sofa but it won’t feel like one. That’s because it’s made from fiberglass and carbon(fiber?) so it’s water, heat, cold, and bump resistant.
On Softa, Gugkaev says that he knows “the world will be ruled by beauty and harmony” someday, so why not add an artistic element to our street benches?
I doubt it’s a very practical design given how much space it takes up and how much material is needed to make it, but it’s a fun and comfy looking design nonetheless. What do you think?
