I have this huge thing for seemingly ordinary and everyday stuff you can interact with. Take, for example, the SCRW Stool. I think it’s pretty obvious from the name what these are and where its designer drew inspiration from.
The designer behind these stools is Manuel Welsky. You start out with two different pieces: the metal screw head (which serves as the stand), and the solid cork stool (which serves as the seat.)
Put 2 and 2 together in your head and you probably already know what to do in order to form your very own SCRW stool. How high or how low the stool ends up is up to you, since it all depends on the number of times you turn the cork around.
If you’re interested, you can drop Manuel a line to ask about how you can purchase his SCRW Stools.
