I’m not a big watcher of Formula One racing, even though I can appreciate the skill that the drivers have and the speed that the cars are able to achieve as they go blazing around the racetrack.
Forget the TRON light bike. Light Trikes are where it’s at now. These things are like big wheels for adult kids. They don’t actually go down the road leaving a light trail, but you can use one to duel against your buddy in a video game.
Nothing keeps Mario as warm as a Frog suit (except maybe a Tanooki suit.) And now the frog suit he wore in Super Mario 3 can keep you warm at night while you are sleeping. Not an actual frog suit, but a quilt with the frog suit on it.
I think some people choose to give their bands really weird names so that it’ll pop out and make an impression on people. I mean, aside from fancy graphics, a neat logo, and a cool band name, what else can bands put on posters to grab a someone’s attention?
Like most of Squaresoft’s 90s RPGs, Xenogears has a special place in my heart. What really drew me in was the main character’s Gear, Weltall – the Bruce Lee of robots. Unlike other fighting robots that were clunky, were as mobile as mountains and relied mostly on weapons, Weltall is skinny, agile and pulled off martial arts moves at lightning speed.
Lots of people enjoy hunting. Not me. I don’t understand it myself and I think that in this day and age, we should all have grown beyond such immature games as killing animals for sport. Just my opinion.
I’m sure most of you are way too young to even remember reruns of Mister Ed. The show about a talking horse (named Mister Ed) and his human friend, Wilbur – was popular long before I was born, but I still have fond childhood memories of the show making me laugh when it was on in repeats.
C-3PO and R2-D2 are precious to the Star Wars galaxy, having saved its citizens countless times and providing comic relief in a handful of instances. You can’t put a price on their contributions. Or can you?
Halloween’s still far off, but a guy going by the moniker Thecnocrat already has one hell of a costume, one that works best in the dark and puts fear in the hearts of billions of people.
Back in the late 90s, Bruce Willis was in a flick called Armageddon. This was a movie in which an asteroid was hurling towards Earth and we had to scramble to destroy it before it made life extinct.
One of my all-time favorite video games was MechWarrior. I played that game for hours on end and wished on more than one occasion I had a real robot with rail guns and missiles. That real mech hasn’t happened yet, but I bet a lot of us would like to build one of these awesome small scale Mech Warfare robots that actually have firing weapons integrated.
Some people do yoga, others meditate or build Lego sets. Humans have many different ways to relax. Here’s a new way to get in your zen place – Listening to 10 hours of Darth Vader’s breathing.
LEGO and beer. I can’t think of a better combination. This LEGO Beer machine serves up 2 kinds of Dutch beers, opens the bottle and cools it down to a perfect drinking temperature. Are you in love yet?
With the new iPad’s imminent arrival, there are some new, stylish cases that have been made for Apple’s latest tablet. I’ve always liked the DODOcase, and the new version of the case comes in some eye-popping colors, which you’ll either love or hate.
I can’t remember the last time I played a portable gaming console, probably a Game Boy Advance SP, but the LEGO Game Boy Transformer sure makes me want to play Tetris again on the go.
The Japanese love using vending machines so much that they have even come up with one that can be used in case of emergencies, particularly when there’s no electricity. But you’ll have to do more than break glass with this vending machine, because it requires 70 turns of its hand crank – and payment – before it coughs up its goodies.
