Concentric Watch Has More Digits than Your Watch Has

I’m a big fan of cool and unusual watches, but I can’t decide if I love or hate the design of this particular timepiece. When you first look at the face of the Concentric watch from 666 Barcelona, it just looks like sensory overload. But upon further examination, you realize that the numbers around the dial of this stainless steel watch all make perfect sense – there’s just a whole lot of them.

Basically, the Concentric is an ordinary analog watch, but the numbers around the dial are there to tell you hours, minutes and seconds. The innermost ring offers up the current hour, while the middle ring shows minutes, and the outer ring is seconds. Simply line up the appropriate hand with the appropriate dial, and there you have the time. This may all seem like overkill, since most of us can read a watch without all of these extraneous numeric indicators, but I still kind of like the idea that you can be a little more precise with this than with a traditional watch face. Plus, it just looks cool. Though you might get dizzy looking at all of those numbers.

If you like the design of the Concentric, you can find it over at Watchismo for $119.99(USD). They’re currently out of stock, but can special order one for you.
