Fahrradi Faralla FFX Has More in Common with Lance Armstrong Than Enzo Ferrari

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a Ferrari, but as a means of transport a bicycle is more to your budgetary constraints, check out this cool supercar. The Fahrradi Faralla FFX is actually more of a pedal car than supercar since underneath the sleek Ferrari-esq exterior hides the inner workings of a bicycle.

The FFX’s sexy and swoopy shell looks like a Ferrari 458 Italia to my eyes, and appears to be thin plastic on a lightweight metal frame. The car has two seats inside and its motivation is from pedals and bike wheels rather than an Italian V12. The “car” even has working gullwing doors, and a functional hood and trunk.

It is street legal in Austria, where the car/bike was created. It has a collection of 200 ultra bright LEDs for nighttime use. This has to be the coolest pedal car I’ve ever seen. If you happen to be in Linz, Austria you can check out the car during the Car Culture: The Car as Sculpture exhibition at the Lentos Museum of Art.

The same guys also created a pedal-powered Porsche a couple of years back.
