Just because something looks like a piece of technology doesn’t necessarily mean it is. For instance, these cabinets from Meninos look like retro living room electronics, but are actually just pieces of furniture.
Both the Boombox Cabinet and TV cabinet look like something that might have been in our living rooms many years ago. And while the Boombox Cabinet looks more like a 1980s “hi-fi stereo” with a giant subwoofer sitting next to it than a ghetto blaster, I still dig it. The TV cabinet is even more retro, with a style dating back to the 1950s or 1960s. I only wish that there was a cutout to slide a picture into the screen so you could put your own program on the CRT. Or an iPad. Oh well.
While both cabinets are currently only available in Brasil, I’m hopeful that Meninos will be offering these elsewhere in the not-too-distant future.
