I’ve seen plenty of LEGO cars and trucks over the years. I always appreciate attention to detail when it comes to building a vehicle out of LEGO blocks. A guy named Alex Jones (aka OrionPax) has created an awesome LEGO low rider that looks like it’s straight out of a Cheech and Chong movie.

This Game of Thrones White Walker cake looks great. Winter is coming and it looks yummy. It’s yet another awesome cake by JB Cada and his partner Stephanie Santos from The Regali Kitchen.

If you’ve ever wanted your own little humanoid robot to do your bidding, there’s a new kid in town you might want to check out. It’s called the HOVIS Eco, and it comes from Korea’s Dongbu Robot company.

Here’s a fun and trippy hack made by programmer Peter Nitsch. Nitsch’s website converts feed from Google’s Street View to ASCII art in real time. You can also search for locations, just like in the vanilla web app.

Pwnie Express first made waves in the hacking and cybersecurity community when they released the Pwn Plug, a device that looks like an electric air freshener but is actually a computer used for penetration testing, i.e.

Have you ever wanted to mount your  iPhone on your fridge? Or shrink your Smart Cover to work with your iPhone? Now you can do both thanks to TidyTilt. The stand part of this accessory is interesting, but what I find the most novel are that the magnets of the cover are strong enough so that you can mount your iPhone onto any magnetically-responsive surface.

NASA is milking the coming landing of the Curiosity rover for all it’s worth with numerous videos to get people excited about the Rover landing on the surface of the red planet. The nuclear powered Curiosity Rover is set to touch down on the surface of Mars, if all goes well, at 1:31 AM EDT on August 6, 2012.

Whenever I want to spend some time alone to mull things over, I trek off to this park I like, find a bench, and literally just stare off into space. There’s just something relaxing and comforting about an overlooking mountain view that puts my mind (and heart) at ease.

This “substitutional reality system” was developed by the Japanese Laboratory for Adaptive Intelligence at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute. It was created to fuse performance art with perceived reality for its wearer. While it’s doesn’t produce the sort of directly implanted memories seen in Total Recall, the visual and audio portions are immersive enough to trick your mind anyhow.

We’ve seen Star Wars chess sets before and we’ve seen some LEGO chess sets as well, but this one combines both and is a real work of art. It’s the third in a series of LEGO chess sets designed by Brandon Griffith.

The light on our front porch got busted recently, so it took me several minutes to get the door open. Not because the lock was jammed or broken, but because I couldn’t get my key into the slot properly and had to fumble around with a light (that was stupidly attached to my keychain, of all places.)
