We’ve featured Richard Nagy aka Datamancer’s steampunk laptop before, but like most modern gadgets, Datamancer’s products evolve. Unlike most modern gadgets, the second revision of his laptop is encased in wood and adorned with brass and gold.
Japan comes up with the weirdest exercise gadgets, but they’re usually targeted for the face. A couple of examples are the Hana Tsun Nose Straightener, the Eye Slack Haruka, the Rhythm Slim Chin Exerciser, and the Face Slimmer Mouthpiece,.
Beicho Katsura III is a rakugo master and is kind of a Living National Treasure in Japan. Rakugo, for those who don’t know, is an early Japanese form of entertainment. Basically, a storyteller. This guy sits on stage and uses a paper fan and small piece of cloth as his only props.
I’m not too keen on the lightsaber chopsticks; having my food all lit up isn’t so appealing to me. But I’m not sure I like these Aliens chopsticks either. These could be good for dieting though, because they might help gross out someone into eating less.
Imagine if buses could do push-ups. Exercise equals good health, so cities would save a fortune on maintenance, right? Plus, we, as spectators would get to watch buff buses working out, which would be quite frankly awesome.
These days, with the heat and the rain, it always makes sense to open up a weather app before you leave home to check out what the temperature will be like. These two new apps are elegant and minimal, easy to use and best of all free.

The Philips Wake-Up Light is one of my favorite alarm clocks, but I never picked one up because of the price . Check out this TEAC alarm clock dock for iPhones, which promises to do almost the same thing as the Philips clock, at a more reasonable cost.
Hey look! The Doctor fixed the Chameleon circuit. It doesn’t look like a Police Box at all now. More of a Police Shed. However, you’ll notice that that Dalek isn’t fooled for one minute. Unless he’s just after some pruning sheers or something.
Now I’m not a big cosplayer myself, but I can definitely appreciate quality costumes when I see them – and this one is a doozie. What you’re looking at here is an incredible leather armor getup that’s sure to scare the crap out of anyone who comes your way.
I’m already avoiding the purchase of new iPhone accessories, other than cases, in preparation for the next iteration of Apple’s iPhone, as there continue to be rumors that Apple’s new dock connector will be a 19-pin port instead of the long-standing universal iOS 30-pin port.
The first time we featured programmer Will Powell, we learned how he was able to make a crude version of Google’s Project Glass augmented reality glasses. It turns out that Powell has made another version of his hack that is capable of translating spoken language and displaying the translation in subtitles.
