Meat-Flavored Ice Cream for Dogs: What are You Eatin’?

by Hazel Chua

People do different things to cheer themselves up when they’re down in the dumps. Some people watch reruns of their favorite series while eating a pint of ice cream, while others head outdoors for a run or play a game or two of catch with their canine best friends. I love my dog to bits and spoil her with treats every now and then, considering that I’m the type of person who goes straight for option number three when I’m particularly sad or down.

So when I saw that the fine folks of Arrfscarf have come up with the ultimate frozen treat for dogs, I just couldn’t resist getting some. For my dog, of course, not for myself.

Arrfscarf Dog Ice Cream

All of the ice cream is handmade in Chicago, so you’re guaranteed fresh frozen delights for your pet made with choice and locally-sourced ingredients. There are currently five flavors available: Peanut Butter Bacon, Beef Brisket, Chicken Cheddar, Pulled Pork and Gouda Burger. Yum.

Each 3.5oz of doggy ice cream costs $3.50 (USD), but there’s an add-on of $8 for overnight shipping so Arrfscarf can get your ice cream to you without melting.
