Not too long ago Sony offered up their official unboxing and teardown video giving us a look at what comes in the package you buy a new PlayStation 4 and the hardware inside the enclosure. Our pals over at Homes and Hues spotted this Wampa-inspired Hoth Wampug Cave made by Tom Spina Designs for Kristen Andrews’ famous pet pug Chubbs the Wampug. She will knock you out and drag you to her icy cave, where she will hang you upside down and save you for a later meal.

A few years ago we saw a View-Master that was upgraded with digital picture frame displays. Alec Smecher took the classic toy to the next logical progression. He bought a very old model of the View-Master and installed a pair of 0.9″ 96 x 64 OLED displays, a Raspberry Pi and a laptop CD-ROM drive on it.

The Rice Krispie Treat Mos Eisley Cantina. It is a wretched hive of sugar, scum and villainy. And an amazing geek work of art. It was made by TK Peggy, obviously a geek and a pastry artist.

I find that receiving too much information while I’m driving can be a major distraction, but I guess that Nissan thinks that Japanese drivers can handle it. They’ve just unveiled their own augmented reality glasses which appear to compete directly with Google Glass.

I didn’t even know they were working on a movie for Assassin’s Creed. I’m always leery to hear a movie studio is producing a movie based on a video game. It’s not that I don’t think video games don’t have a good enough story to make a movie because many do.
