LEGO-style Cooking Utensils Hang up in a Snap

If you are like me and like putting geeky gadgets into your kitchen, you will love this. ThinkGeek has a new set of cooking utensils from doiy Design that have LEGO-style bricks on the handles. When you are done using them, you snap their brick handles onto a gray baseplate that hangs on the wall.

The design is great, assuming as they have a good middle ground for gripping capability. If you have ever played with LEGO bricks, you know that at times you have to resort to using your teeth or pliers to pry a brick off a baseplate. It wouldn’t be too convenient if you couldn’t get your spatula off the way before your pancakes burned.

Sadly the baseplate isn’t compatible with standard LEGO bricks wither, so you’ll just have to settle for the included spatula, pasta drainer, and ladle. I suppose with some hot glue and a dremel you could try the same with actual LEGO bricks. But if you’re too lazy to try that, you can pick up the set for $34.99(USD) at ThinkGeek.
