iOS App Lets You Find Your Device by Playing Marco Polo

Apple already has a Find My iPhone feature, but what if you’re sure that your iOS device is just somewhere nearby? Matt Wiechec’s app Marco Polo was designed for those instances. It lets you locate your device by shouting “Marco!” If your device “hears” you, it will shout “Polo!” back. Pretty cool eh? It’s not perfect though.

You can tweak the app’s gimmick by choosing from 30 voices and altering the trigger word, although the app will always respond with “Polo.” Here’s a demo by YouTuber FindingHomesForYou:

Marco Polo does work, but it seems sensitive and trigger happy. Also, at the end of the video you can see that when the app is running in the background, a red banner will be at the top of your screen at all times. If you’re fine with those setbacks, then download Marco Polo from the App Store for $0.99 (USD).
