Princess Bride LEGO Dioramas Lets You Match Wits with a Sicilian

by Shane McGlaun

I have a well-established penchant for the The Princess Bride and LEGO constructs. Combine the two and you have my attention. Some folks had some builders at the Brickworld Chicago event cobbled together some awesome dioramas of scenes from the classic movie.

The LEGO artists responsible for these dioramas include Max Pointer, Daniel Church, Paull Vermeesch, Ben Merrill, Casey McCoy, and Matthew Oh. One of my favorites is the diorama of the battle of wits with the Sicilian.

I also very much like the fire swamp and the epic sword fight at the top of the cliff. I only wish someone had recreated one of the scenes with Andre the Giant or a Miracle Max scene.

Be sure to check out the Beyond the Brick video above to see more and to meet the creators of these awesome LEGO builds.

Have fun stormin’ the castle!
