Nobody wants to walk around with a cloud hanging over their head… or do they? It would be a definite no if you take that part about the cloud figuratively. But literally? I think that would be kinda cool.
It doesn’t have to be an actual cloud, because that’s a near impossible thing to make happen. Cue the Cumulus Parasol, a patio umbrella designed and created by Netherlands-based design studio Toer that goes from flat to inflated when it’s under the heat of the sun.
It has a solar panel embedded at the top, which uses the solar energy to power up a built in fan, which in turn inflates the parasol cloud in about twenty seconds.
The Cumulus Parasol is available for €465 (~$625 USD).
