Now you can be alone even when you’re in a crowded room with the Nutshell. It’s a portable pod that you can expand to create your own little hideaway, wherever and whenever you feel like it.
Others might look at your strangely while you do so, but then again, you won’t even see them throwing glances your way because you’ll be contained snugly in your little pod.
Obviously, you shouldn’t get one if you’re claustrophobic and you should probably leave it home if your boss doesn’t have a sense of humor. But for all other purposes, it should serve you well.
The Nutshell was created by SVA Product of Design student Eden Lew, who explains:
As a student I’m always looking for the quickest meal to avoid stopping my workflow. I decided that if I’m going to spend five minutes or less eating a lunch, then I might as well use that five minutes to take a mental break.Thus the Nutshell was created to block out distractions and to focus on eating and thinking.
Too bad it isn’t for sale, though.
