New Catfish Species Named after Greedo from Star Wars: “Going Somewhere, Salmon?”

This world is amazing when you consider that we have not even discovered all of the lifeforms on it, and probably never will. This is Peckoltia greedoi. It is a newly described species of suckermouth catfish recently discovered in Brazil. Does it look like anyone you know?

The fish’s discoverers Jonathan W. Armbruster, David C. Werneke, and Milton Tan of the University of Auburn think that it looks like Greedo from Star Wars, so they named it after the bounty hunter. I don’t care what they name it, Han shot first.

These discoverers should have done the same. You see Greedo, you shoot him. Otherwise he is going to shoot you.
