When you need to smuggle Death Star plans to your Rebel friends, there is no better way than to use a Volkswagen R2 unit. Not only are you smuggling plans for the rebellion, but also… road trip!
This amazing looking VW bus looks like a special edition toy or model, but it is the real thing. It’s a full-size Volkswagen Bus with an R2-D2 wrap. It is the work of instructables user mimaki cg60 and it looks awesome. He used CorelDraw and Photoshop to work out the design, then had the images printed on a vinyl wrap.
R2 on a VW bus just works perfectly. I think the only way it could be better is if the cantina band toured around in it.
