Kirby Downey loves to 3D print fictional weapons as a hobby. His latest work is a case for an automatic electric pistol in the form of Destiny‘s beloved hand cannon Thorn.
The case is based on Kirby’s life-size Thorn scale model, modified to fit the CYMA Glock 18C AEP. It’s made of 10 3D printed parts, which took about 48 hours to print. It also has metal dowels that help keep the parts together. His friend Catherine Wood did the wonderful paint job on the case.
Head to Kirby’s MyMiniFactory page to download the Thorn case’s 3D files. You can also purchase his non-Airsoft Thorn replica for $300 (USD). Check out his YouTube channel for videos of his other 3D printed weapons.
