Protecting your change from thieves can be a big challenge. I used to steal all my dad’s quarters growing up to buy gummy bears. If he had one of these Cthulhu piggy banks, I’d still steal his change, but I might pause briefly to think about it.
The creepy 10″ tall bank should hold quite a bit of change. It’s made of vinyl and painted green with black highlights. The coin slot is between its wings, and it has some nasty, razor-sharp claws and beady eyes to scare off would-be coin thieves.
One thing that doesn’t sit well with me in the description is a disclaimer that you might have to place the bank in hot water to flatten the bottom to be able to open the coin door or get it to sit flat. Seems like quality control isn’t a big deal at the Cthulhu bank factory. Get your own at ThinkGeek for $19.99(USD).
