LEGO fan Ethan Marak (aka BreaksBricks) hopes that someday soon we could get off-the-shelf LEGO kits that let us build tiny video arcades for our minifigs.
He’s currently raising support for his project over on LEGO Ideas, which includes a couple of different stand-up arcade cabinets, a cocktail-style machine, gumball machine, and even one of those old-school change machines to break bills. Man, remember when you could play games with quarters?
Each of the machines does a great job capturing the spirit of the 1980s arcade, but is generic enough to not require licensing. That said, he suggests that classic arcade machines could be added to the collection if LEGO can secure the rights.
If you’re like me, and like what you see, show your support by voting for Ethan’s arcade project on LEGO Ideas now.
