Growing up in the ’80s meant I stayed home by myself a lot of the time. On occasion when my parents would be home late, they left me with my grandfather, who was confined to a wheelchair. That meant we didn’t really go anywhere, we just sort of hung out in the house. On most days I was there we would sit and watch Bob Ross paint. I loved that show and all the happy little trees.
The thing I remember most about that show was how easy Ross made painting look. The reality is painting is much more difficult than it looks. If you are a fan of Bob Ross or just want to see the coolest painting show ever made, hop over to Twitch now.
The Twitch Creative project is currently live streaming every episode of The Joy of Painting that Bob Ross made. The stream will wrap up on November 5th, so you still have a few days to watch. If you want to view them on your own time, every episode is now up on YouTube as well.
They are all cool and worth watching. Bob will teach you that a mistake is only a mistake until you turn it into a happy little bird.
