Meat Cakes are Japan’s Latest and Greatest Invention

 |  |  |  |  |  November 4, 2015

The raw meat is butchered and sculpted into shapes that look somewhat like a cake. Apparently, some restaurants are doing this and then the food is cooked at the table to eat.

I’m not up on my Japanese meat cuts, but that’s some incredibly marbled meat in some of the images, and I assume that is Kobe beef. I’d totally go for a Kobe meat cake right now.
