Take our new favorite droid, add some gold and diamonds and you get this extravagant and tacky BB-8 figure. Hey, why not? This droid is making way more money that that for Disney.
This shiny blinged-out droid was born out of a union between Disney and Kay Jewelers. This 4.25″ tall BB-8 was crafted entirely out of gold and diamonds. So basically we are talking a Star Wars action figure for millionaires. This thing took over 600 hours to make and it weighs a pound and a half. It has over 860 diamonds.
The estimated value is around $135,000(USD). It was made for a good cause though. It will be auctioned off later this month to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
