Netflix Socks Pause the Show When You Fall Asleep

How many times have you fallen asleep while watching a show or movie on Netflix? Either you are really tired or the movie is slow. Either way, you are off to dreamland. And Netflix is still playing the un-watched content back in the real world. Well, Netflix has created an online guide for building a pair of socks that will automatically pause a show when you fall asleep while watching.

They use an accelerometer to detect when a person has stopped moving, so that once the viewer is asleep, the socks will send a signal to the television using built-in infrared LEDs. Pretty cool.

The guide also includes knitting patterns inspired by Netflix original series like Jessica Jones, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and House of Cards. They’re perfect for people who prefer Netflix and snore to Netflix and chill.
