Graflex Saber Hand-made Skywalker Lightsaber Calls to Us

 |  |  |  |  |  |  |  January 12, 2016

Martin Beyer aka Graflex Saber is going to be very busy this year. He’s been working on an extremely detailed life-size replica of Anakin’s – and Luke’s and now Rey’s – lightsaber, and he recently showed off his second prototype on YouTube. Hold on to your speeders.

While the interior of Martin’s prototype is more cluttered than that of the sabers in the Star Wars universe, it’s still awesome how well he integrated the functional parts with the decorative ones. The pièce de résistance here is of course the crystal replica.

Skip to 1:05 in the video below to see Martin tear down his newest prototype.

The craftsmanship is strong with this one. Martin isn’t selling his prototype – though of course everything has a price – but he will make more to sell. Keep an eye on his Facebook page for updates.
