Ghosbusters fans, if you want a pinball machine that’s packed with great art and details from the classic films, call Stern Pinball. Just be sure you’re packing a large stream of money.
Designed by the legendary John Trudeau, the pinball machine comes in three varieties: Pro, Premium and Limited. All machines feature gorgeous art by Jeremy Packer aka Zombie Yeti, unique targets and mechanisms including Slimer, and sound bites by actor Ernie Hudson.
The Premium and Limited Editions also have lots of extra features, the main one being the holographic “Ecto Goggles” feature. Using an LCD, a reflecting system and sensors, you’ll be able to “hit” projections of ghosts such as The Librarian and the Scolari Brothers. The only difference between the Premium and Limited Edition is that the latter has a Slimer-themed backbox and cabinet art. The Premium Edition on the other hand has Stay Puft-themed art that’s a bit different than the ones on the Pro Edition.
I hope you’ve been saving up quarters for the last 32 years, because these babies are going to cost you. The Pro Edition costs $6,000 (USD), the Premium costs $7,600 and the Limited Edition, which is limited to 500 units, costs $8,800. Check out Stern’s Facebook page or IGN for more on the machines.
