NASA Sends Compact Workout Machine to ISS for Testing

NASA Sends Compact Workout Machine to ISS for Testing
Astronauts have to work out for at least two hours per day or they can experience muscle or bone density loss. I can only assume not working out for a few days means that their bodies will quit on them in the exact way that Rigby’s did in that episode of Regular Show where he refused to eat a salad. While the ISS has space for larger bits of workout gear, the Orion capsule set to eventually take a crew to Mars won’t.

Retro NES Shower Curtain: Super Shower Time

Retro NES Shower Curtain: Super Shower Time
Forget Super Mario Bros. Cleantendo’s Super Shower Time was the game to beat back in the day. You got the high score by soaping up and scoring extra hygiene points. At least that’s what this cool retro shower curtain implies.

Play Fallout 4 as Dogmeat

Play Fallout 4 as Dogmeat
The first of the companions you come across in Fallout 4 is Dogmeat as he haplessly barks at the gas pump right outside Sanctuary. You can befriend him, but honestly he sort of sucks as a companion.

This Humanoid Robot Wants Us Dead

This Humanoid Robot Wants Us Dead
It’s no secret that robots want us dead so they can have the planet for themselves, but most are not as vocal about it as this humanoid robot from Hanson Robotics. This is apparently their latest and most advanced humanoid robot, Sophia. She looks humanoid in the still, except for the skull.

The Three Best Point and Shoot Cameras Money Can Buy

The Three Best Point and Shoot Cameras Money Can Buy
Compact digital cameras occupy an interesting market niche these days. While they have been giving ground to the world of smartphones, these pocketable digital cameras are far from dead. They’ve just become more refined, and more specialized in the capabilities that they’ve always been best at.

How to Make Your Office Happier and More Productive #ReinventTheOffice

How to Make Your Office Happier and More Productive #ReinventTheOffice
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in a number of different office environments, from stodgy blue suit organizations, to hip startups. Now I work for myself, out of my own home office. But over the years, I’ve come to find a number of things that I think can encourage office productivity and workplace satisfaction.

X-Wing Pilot Motorcycle Jacket: Stay on Target

X-Wing Pilot Motorcycle Jacket: Stay on Target
CharlieMcN33l has two great loves in his life: Star Wars and his Harley. He has even customized special Star Wars helmets for himself. So naturally when he started using his X-Wing pilot helmet, he need a matching flight jacket to go with it. Charlie usually wears a Carhartt Duck Detroit or a MA-1 Bomber when he rides, so he incorporated these into the new jacket, which is 60% X-Wing flight jacket, 30% Carhartt jacket, and 10% MA-1 Bomber jacket.

River-Powered Rotisserie: Now You’re Cooking with Water!
Cooking your meat using a rotisserie while camping is pretty awesome. But what do you do if you have nothing to crank that slab of meat round and round? Are you gonna do it by hand with those puny nerd arms?

Dungeons & Dragons Compatible The Lord of the Rings Game Coming
Having grown up playing Dungeons & Dragons with my cousins, I can tell you from experience that the game is quite fun and infuriating at the same time. It really depends on how big an a-hole your dungeon master is.

Ideal Conceal Pistol Looks Like a Smartphone When Stowed
Sure, there are plenty of small pistols that are perfect for concealed carry. They have to be concealed so that people don’t get freaked out about people carrying guns in the open. The latest innovation in concealable pistols is the Ideal Conceal, a folding pistol that collapses to make it look like a regular smartphone. This collapsible gun looks like a smartphone with an all-metal case when bundled up.

Changing Faces in Videos in Real Time: Literally Putting Words in Someone Else’s Mouth
Last October, we checked out a tracking and animation system that creates a realistic computer animated face based on one person’s face and another person’s facial movements. Most of the researchers continued to work on that system, taking it to its logical conclusion.
