I spent many an hour playing Doom back in the day and anyone who did will have memories of the BFG 9000. That was the gun you wanted when things got really bad. YouTuber ZaziNombies has created an approximation of the ridiculously oversized weapon using the greatest and geekiest of all building materials – LEGO.

The blocky creation weighs 20 pounds and uses over 5,000 bricks. It’s not an exact replica, since the game is so old that high-resolution images aren’t available. Regardless, the result is awesome and looks really cool.

I’d imagine if you held it by the big levers, it would fall apart under its own bulk. Check out the video to see more details of the LEGO BFG 9000.
