Working in the medical field, I’ve had years of anatomy training, and I blame this for my inability to eat anything off the bone. It’s easy to lose your appetite when you can identify the blood vessels, cartilage and other parts of what you are trying to eat. I stick with steak or chicken off the bone and well trimmed to eliminate all the fat and other parts, I certainly don’t eat organs. I’d never eat a kidney pie like this one that was inspired by Game of Thrones.
It uses actual beef or pig kidneys in it. Pass. I’d totally eat it if you only put steak or pot roast inside though. Kidney pie is something that has been talked about a few times by characters in the series, and while I haven’t read the books, it’s said to be mentioned there frequently as well.
