Razer has been making gaming keyboards as long as some PC gamers have been around. That’s because the standard keyboard that comes with most PCs doesn’t typically work well for the kind of precision and timing you need in gaming. Razer has a new gaming keyboard called the Ornata, the first ever to use what Razer calls Mecha-Membrane keys. The idea with these keys is that they provide the comfort associated with rubber dome membrane keys, and the feedback and fast actuation that comes with mechanical keyboards.
The Ornata comes in a version with green backlighting for $79.99(USD) and a version with Chroma backlighting for $99.99. That latter version has 16.8 million colors to choose from. Ornata buyers also get a removable wrist rest that is held on the keyboard with magnets.
Naturally, the keyboards have all the to make them ideal for any type of video game, including Razer Synapse programmability, on-the-fly macro recording, and 10-key rollover. Both Ornata keyboards are available now directly from Razer.
