Most of the luggage we use is pretty basic. You just put your stuff in it, zip it up and head to the airport. Today, there are smart bags with tags on them to track them in the event they’re lost, but really, it’s all pretty much the same other than the tracking. Well, if you want something different, Bugaboo has launched the Boxer.
Bugaboo is known for its high-end strollers, but now they are branching out to enter the suitcase market with the Boxer. The Boxer is basically modular luggage. Its foundation is a frame with a pop-out handle and pop-out wheels. Then, you can attach a variety of modular case compartments.
So depending on your needs, you can choose a smaller cabin case, snap on a daypack, or go for a larger check-in suitcase. They all snap into place on your main luggage frame.
It is a great idea, but Bugaboo isn’t cheap, with prices starting at $1,030(USD) for the chassis and cabin case, and going up to $1490 for the complete set with the chassis, travel case, and cabin case.
