Pretty soon, drones and other robots will be doing all of our chores. Marek Baczynski is trying to usher in a new era of drones performing our menial tasks, which is no doubt why he spent hours figuring out how to get a drone to change a lightbulb.
There are countless versions of Monopoly board games these days, but one of the coolest is yet to come. In 2017, we can look forward to Skyrim Monopoly.
Obviously this Skyrim-themed Monopoly will have landmarks based on the land of Tamriel that you can buy and sell.
I have no idea what black metal is as far as a music genre. For me, the late ’80s group Living Color comes to mind, but I’m pretty sure that’s wrong. A dude going by the name John Awesome and his fiance Nydia Hernandez were in the woods taking engagement photos when they happened on a black metal band called Coldvoid in full makeup.
At some point, they struck up a conversation, and the band ended up stepping up and taking the most metal engagement photo in history with the couple, courtesy of Wheeland Photography.
Growing up, I watched a lot of Godzilla movies because they came on every afternoon on a local TV channel. It was cool to watch those movies, but what I remember most was that the costume was pretty cheesy and you could see all the latex flop around as the actor stomped around on top of scale models of Japan.
If you are a Godzilla fan, you can now buy a statue that is human size.
What would happen if you used a skateboard made out of LEGO bricks just like a regular skateboard? Could it handle the the flips and tricks that you normally do? Braille Skateboarding has the answer in this video which put a LEGO skateboard through its paces.
The skateboard deck was made by Peter Brown of Shop Time, using LEGO bricks and epoxy only.
Scientists at MIT and Stanford have created a new type of tiny robot called a “roveable”. Basically these compact critters will live on our clothes and travel all around as if they are living on a human planet.
Growing up, I was convinced that by the time I was “old” I wouldn’t have to walk anywhere. My jetpack would fly me wherever I wanted to go. I was also convinced that we would be living on the Moon and while my jetpack and lunar house have yet to happen, at least we are starting to get things that levitate.
I always thought that the giant ’70s pornstache that Mario and Luigi wear is a bit weird. If you take that same ‘stache and put it on Pikachu, it gets even weirder. Though I suppose if Pikachu was going to be in an adult film that revolved around plumbers with special capabilities in the bedroom, this would be the perfect mashup.
But that’s not the case.
If you are a real LEGO fanatic, you have probably wondered at some point, what you would look like as a minifig. Well, you may not be able to transform yourself into a plastic figure, but this shopping bag will transform your hands into LEGO hands in an instant.
Evan Choi and Junho Lee are design students at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and they came up with this awesomely geeky bag with clever handles that temporarily disguise your human hands as LEGO hands.
This bag will not only make its user smile, but also everyone who sees them and their LEGO hands.
Forget cutesy stuffed animals and cheap toys that slip through the fingers. Beer is what you want to grab in a claw machine. Mark from Victoria, Australia turned a regular claw machine into be a beer claw machine.
This Ghostbusters remake is already better than that one that was just in theaters. Ryan Scott Miller turned his son Jeremy’s wheelchair into a miniature version of Ecto-1. Just give him all of the candy as he drives by this Halloween.
This version of Ecto-1 is based on Funko’s POP!
These days we carry a ton of gadgets with us everywhere. It can be a real pain trying to keep all of those devices charged up. Conventional charging backpacks aren’t all that useful if you carry things like drills, pliers, and other tools.
