Cozmo Robot Will Soon Recognize Your Pets

 |  |  |  |  |  |  November 23, 2016

If you own the adorable Cozmo robot, you will soon be able to have it interact with your pets. By that, I mean more than just the getting its tracks clogged with pet hair. An upgrade is scheduled to roll out during the week of December 5th that will add new functionality to this tiny robot, which includes reactions to dog and cats. Now you have more reason to buy this cute electronic plaything.

The update will also be bringing a new memory match game, an explorer mode for point-of-view camera action with night vision, the ability to give it words to pronounce and a workout mode. Sadly, we don’t have any other details at the moment. Only that “he can now detect dogs and cats, and reacts appropriately to both.”

You can check out the short teaser video here. It is appropriately adorable. I don’t care how Cozmo reacts, most pets I know would kill this robot if it started moving about and making noises at them. I know my cats would tear it up.
