Ghost Robotics’ Minitaur Robot Explores the Great Outdoors

 |  |  |  |  March 2, 2017

Ghost Robotics‘ compact and nimble Ghost Minitaur robot is both exceptional and frightening at the same time. Now the company has released a video of the robot while it explores the outdoors.

This little robot climbs, jumps, and flips over and through obstacles with ease. I don’t think anything short of a bazooka blast can stop it. The Minitaur easily handles the outdoor environment, including slopes, uneven rocky terrain, tunnels, and more. Those four direct-drive legs really know what they are doing.

They are going to be releasing a bunch of these medium to small size robots in the future for all kinds of tasks. They can go pretty much anywhere since they can handle the terrain so well. Now let’s hope they don’t come after us humans.
