Nintendo’s 2DS XL hasn’t made the news much lately, but Japan’s equivalent 2DS LL version just got three new cool models. The first is a Minecraft Creeper edition, based on the bad guys from the popular block building game.
Remember a month ago when Disney’s Stickman was the best robotic stuntman technology they had? Good times. Things are about to get way more human and way more creepy. Now the company is working on a series of truly acrobatic, humanoid stunt robots with their Stuntronics project.
Back in the day, the thing to do early on a Saturday morning was eat a huge bowl of sugary cereal and watch cartoons. I tended to choose my cereal at the store not based on taste, and certainly not on its nutritional value, but on the cool factor of the toy promised inside.
I remember when Honda’s humanoid robot Asimo seemed to be everywhere. The public loved him. We saw him at trade shows, on television programs, at amusement parks and even in concert halls. He was the face of robots, making us fear the robot apocalypse just a bit less.

We’ve seen drones that mimic real bird flight, but the ones we’ve seen have been for strictly experimental purposes. However, China is taking flight with the idea and taking it seriously. This drone looks like a dove so naturally it is called “Dove”.

I loved every single episode of Futurama when it was on the air, and have watched most of the episodes at least twice since they first ran. Matt Groening’s animated sci-fi comedy may not be making new episodes anymore, but that doesn’t mean you can’t show your love for the series every day.
