Harry Potter Ultimate Trivial Pursuit: Trivias Pursuitas!

by Shane McGlaun

I was late to the Harry Potter series, only having watched the movies few years back. I’ve never read the books and am certainly not a Potter maven, but I thought the entire realm was interesting. I do like trivia, and thanks to my vast stores of useless knowledge I do quite well. Still, I would suck at this particular trivia game.

This Harry Potter Ultimate Trivial Pursuit board game has 1800 questions about the films. The categories for the game include Slytherin House, Death Eaters and The Dark Arts; Objects & Artifacts; Animals, Magical Creatures and Magical Beings; Witches, Wizards, Ghosts and Muggles; Hogwarts, Other Locations and Transportation; and Spells, Potions and Other Magic.

Among the sample questions on display: “What does Albus Dumbledore bequeath to Harry?” and “Which spell does Hermione use to unchain the Gringotts dragon?” I have no idea. Yep, you had better know your Potter lore, or be in for a serious beatdown in this game. Potter fans can grab it over at ThinkGeek for $49.99.
