Daniel Riley of Stratus Productions built a super bright 1,000W LED flashlight. Then, he did what any inventive geek would – he managed to mount it to a powerful Freefly Alta drone. The result is a flying machine that can crank out some truly breathtaking aerial effects.

LEGO has made some incredible Star Wars sets over the years, especially in its Ultimate Collectors Series. While most robots use legs or wheels to move around, more and more robotic systems are adopting other kinds of locomotion. Some even wriggle around like snakes or worms. This worm-like robot is designed to maneuver through veins – which sounds scary, but could actually save lives.

I have a tendency to be pretty modern in terms of my design choices around the house, so traditional chandeliers aren’t really my cup of tea. However, I might make an exception if I could have a chandelier that looked like an octopus.

I’ve always enjoyed playing Tetris. It’s just one of those games that keeps your mind occupied 100%, and is a great way to kill time sitting on a train or airplane. There have been countless games over the years which expand on the block-stacking game dynamic.

Delightful! Custom toymaker Scott Wilkowski is the mad mind behind these awesomely weird figures, inspired by Pikachu and Meowth.

Let’s face it. For as cute as Furbies were supposed to be, more often than not, they’re kind of creepy. People have done some really crazy stuff with these electronic pets over the years, from slicing in two with a waterjet, to turning them into an insane musical instrument.
