And here to show us how it’s done, Natalie Sideserf of Sideserf Cake Studio in Austin, Texas walks us through her process of decorating a hyperrealistic t-rex cake to promote season 2 of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous on Netflix. The way the t-rex is able to stand on its own two feet and look so dynamic is impressive. This thing is so incredible I’d argue the only thing not hyperrealistic about it is its size. And, okay, maybe the taste. Of course, I’ve never had t-rex before so I can’t say that for certain.
For reference, the most elaborate birthday cake I ever got was a sheet cake from the local grocery store with my name spelled wrong. It also said Happy Retirement. You know now that I think about it that might not have been my cake.
