Officially licensed and produced by Numskull, this 1/4 scale replica of the 1991 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Turtles In Time arcade machine is actually playable! Which, for $300, it better be. It should also have a miniature Dairy Queen next door like the arcade at my local mall used to.
The 18″ tall game features the original arcade ROM, a real wood cabinet with a light-up marquee, and a 6″ TFT screen with a 4:3 ratio and lens cover to make it appear to be an old CRT. It also has the cabinet’s original sound positioning with a 3-watt built-in speaker. It’s powered by USB-C with an internal rechargeable battery and has four front USB ports for attaching controllers so you and your friends don’t crowd each other at the tiny joysticks.
The only thing the machine is really missing is a functional coin slot. That’s probably for the best, though, because I was just going to put in tiny metal washers on a string anyways. I also used to lift pinball machines onto the toes of my shoes so the balls wouldn’t drain so fast. I know all the tricks!
