To celebrate the upcoming release of Minions: The Rise of Gru, LEGO has revealed several new sets inspired by the film. My favorite of them is this set that lets you create some larger minions for your minion minifigs to hang out in.
The Dr. Seuss classic, Green Eggs and Ham is one of the greatest children’s books ever, written to encourage kids to open their minds and try new things. I love the book but, I’m skeptical about Subway’s new ham ‘n’ cheese sandwich “homage” featuring egg patties with – yep, you knew it was coming – green yolks.
Back to the Future is a classic. It’s packed with humor, adventure, great characters (Great Scott!), and has a fun time-twisting plot. But beyond the questionable time travel, there are other things in the movie which might be just as implausible.
As far as I know, the entire plot of Space Invaders is “increase speed, drop down, and reverse direction!” But making vapid and obtuse movies based on popular franchises is what Hollywood does best these days, so I guess I wasn’t too surprised when I heard there’s a Space Invaders movie in development.
Do you like Godzilla? I mean do you REALLY, REALLY like Godzilla? Then you’re going to want to start saving your money for this epic collectible from the X-PLUS Gigantic series.
This monstrous PVC kaiju figure measures in at a whopping 38.19″ long, and 18.5″ tall, and will look awesome on your desktop or bookshelf – assuming you have the space for it.
LEGO is one of my favorite playthings, and Stranger Things is one of my favorite TV series, so when I found out the two were partnering up, I was pretty stoked. But LEGO has really outdone themselves with their first official Stranger Things set.
Game of Thrones is nearing the end of its final season, and if you missed any of the episodes so far, it’s safe to read this. HBO and Secret Lab have teamed up to bring gamers a series of Game of Thrones themed chairs.
Terminator is a classic movie from back when movies were made by people who were making actual art. We will never see it’s like again, no matter how many sequels or reboots that they try. Or maybe we will.
One of the more exciting parts the final season of Game of Thrones so far has been Jon Snow riding on a dragon. Before you get mad about spoilers just realize, the name of this toy itself is a spoiler, so don’t blame me.
Rick and Morty is one of the most popular cartoons out there, and those guys get up to all sorts of weird stuff. One of the most memorable episodes is where Morty decides to save a homeless man, requiring him to go inside the man’s body – and it turns out that Rick has turned the guys innards into a miniature amusement park.
The Goonies was a classic ’80s flick for kids of that generation who wanted to find pirate treasure and hang out with cheerleaders. Two of the most memorable characters in the film were Sloth and Chunk.
Of all the flicks that I remember from growing up in the 1980s, one of the best was The Princess Bride. I’ll admit to not wanting to watch it in my youth because it sounded like a “girl movie” to my younger self.
I can remember back in the day, one of the older kids that rode the bus home played a Queen album constantly on his little tape player and the song of choice was “Another One Bites the Dust,” only we all sang it “Another One Rides the Bus” each time someone got on.
There are very few scenes in cinema history that are as cool and unique as the opening sequence from Raiders of the Lost Ark. This, in a movie that is full of iconic scenes. In the 80s, kids everywhere were pretending that they were being chased by a boulder for years.
Something fans of Deadpool won’t appreciate is afoot. Apparently, an upcoming arc in the Deadpool and Spider-Man comic series will see a mysterious villain come in and stop our pal DP from being able to see and talk directly to the readers.
