Intricate Handmade Xbox 360 Faceplates
Swiss artist André Willimann handcrafts these gloriously detailed 3-dimensional faceplates for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console. Each one is meticulously assembled from custom molded 3-D pieces, then individually oil painted to give the works depth and color.

Is That a Wii-Mote in Your Ear?

Is That a Wii-Mote in Your Ear?
Gamer girls, if you weren’t fortunate enough to pick up the Nintendo DS necklace, here’s another fun piece of video game inspired jewelry I found. These earrings are tiny versions of the Nintendo Wii-mote controller. Artist Thiakosia hand-sculpted these tiny Wii controller earrings entirely from Sculpey polymer clay.

Pac-Man Inky Ghost Bag: Booyah!

Pac-Man Inky Ghost Bag: Booyah!
I came across this funky Pac-Man inspired bag over on Etsy earlier today. Handmade by Melissa and Zach of New York’s hobocampcrafts, the bag features the likeness of one of the dot-gobbler’s ghostly nemeses, Inky. Using a bunch of carefully selected buttons, the artists stitched together the blue ghost from the classic 80s arcade game.

Boombox and Walkman Plush Creations

Boombox and Walkman Plush Creations
Check out these awesome soft fabric pieces of audio gear. I can’t decide if I like the Boombox or the Walkman better. I love how the artist even made a little pair of headphones and some cassettes to go with the portable tape player.

Zelda Mosaic Immortalizes Link in Stained Glass

Zelda Mosaic Immortalizes Link in Stained Glass
Here’s something for true fans of Nintendo’s classic Legend of Zelda adventure series. Etsy contributor ProphetofDoom recently created this wonderful mosaic version of the video game’s protagonist Link. Handmade from thousands of individually cut pieces of stained glass, it took the artist over three months to complete.

Mario Gets Crafty in Needlepoint

Mario Gets Crafty in Needlepoint
Check out this amazingly precise needlepoint inspired by Super Mario Brothers. Artist Lauren Yakiwchuk must have had the patience of a saint to pull off the detail in this scene from the Nintendo classic platformer. It took Lauren about 30 hours to complete this 9″ x 11″ scene from SMB, handstitching the entire piece from scratch.

Guitar Hero Controller Gets Stuffed

Guitar Hero Controller Gets Stuffed
Amidst her handmade menagerie of teddy bears, bunny rabbits and other cute critters, Delaware crafter Poisonholly created this seemingly out of place plush Guitar Hero 2 controller. The hand crafted guitar bears more than a passing resemblance to the PS2’s cherry red Gibson SG, complete with colored fret “buttons” on the neck.

Space Invaders Sweater: What, No Sequins?

Space Invaders Sweater: What, No Sequins?
With cooler seasons just around the corner, here’s something to warm the cockles of your heart. It’s a hand knit Space Invaders sweater. Kansas City crafter n2Imaginations hand makes these custom sweaters from acrylic yarn to keep you nice and toasty on those cold Winter nights.

Space Invaders Mobile Hovers Over Head

Space Invaders Mobile Hovers Over Head
I guess it doesn’t take much to amuse me these days. Pretty much put an image of Mario, Pac-man or the Space Invaders on anything handmade and I’ll bite. Today’s crafty goody is this felt mobile that pays tribute to Taito’s classic video game aliens.

Nintendo Necklace for Girl Gamers With Style

Nintendo Necklace for Girl Gamers With Style
It seems like most gamer gear is oriented towards dudes, so it’s nice to see the occasional accessory for girls who like to get their game on. On one side, this contemporary necklace features a feminine cherry blossom design, but flip it over and it shows off your true gamer spirit with the image of a classic Nintendo NES controller.

Now You Can Sleep With Your Wii-Mote

Now You Can Sleep With Your Wii-Mote
Can’t get enough of your Nintendo Wii? Now you can take it to bed with you, thanks to this giant plush Wii-mote pillow. Artist and Nintendo fan Palochka is making these oversize handmade pillows from polar fleece.

Hand Knit Pac-Man and Pals

Hand Knit Pac-Man and Pals
Check out these wacky crocheted 3-dimensional versions of Pac-Man and his cohorts. Artist Carey Huffman hand knit these little versions of the yellow dot gobbler along with his ghostly pals Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde. She’s even gone to the trouble to create this pattern guide for you to create your own.

The Hand Knit iPhone

The Hand Knit iPhone
Seems like the latest trend in technology is to make fabric versions of your favorite electronic gadgets. A couple of weeks back it was the felt Nintendo. This week, some kid’s Mom was way too cool, and knit him a wool iPhone.

Space Invaders Invade Your Living Room

Space Invaders Invade Your Living Room
One of my favorite places to shop for unique art and gifts is on Etsy. I was surfing around there today and came across an artist who goes by the name of MonkeyCraft and specializes in making video game inspired accessories.
