When I think of Casio watches, I tend to think about the G-Shock series, which are quite bulky, manly, and filled with functions that you’ll probably never need. On the other hand, we now have Casio’s playful new Baby-G line.
Back in 1993, one of the animators working on Mortal Kombat 2 pitched a fourth finisher to programmer Ed Boon. The latter asked him to “Get Over Here.” The poor dude, now throatless, is cashing in on his idea in the form of a shirt design:
I don’t know about you guys, but when I glance at my watch, I need to know the time pretty quickly. I don’t have time to try and figure out what exactly my fancy new Japanese timepiece is trying to tell me.
Well, this isn’t a problem for the guys over at Tokyoflash.
I think most people who retire today are lucky to get a potluck dinner and a cake as they leave before the fight over their vacated office ensues. In years gone by you might get a gold watch after years of service, but I don’t think that happens much today.
My wife uses her iPhone for listening to music a lot. She uses these cheap pink earphones when she listens that sound worse than the stock Apple earphones. The other day I got a really nice set of earphones for her from V-Moda that sound great.
…or actually, you probably shouldn’t do that. But you still will look awfully cool walking around with this big, bad-ass GoW blade that looks just like the one Kratos slashes his enemies with.
This prop-replica of Kratos’ Blade of Chaos is cast from sturdy zinc-aluminum, and has custom etched textures to give it that war-worn look.
One time I was at one of my cousin’s birthday parties at the park in our town. We were specifically told not to go on what had to be the world’s highest monkey bars. The geodesic dome structure was a good 10 feet off the ground not counting the hole worn underneath by the years of kids plummeting to their demise.
This LED light dress was designed by fashion design student Kristi Kuusk. She studies at the University of São Paulo in Brazil and came up with this wonderful idea for one of her classes.
The dress is supposed to light up like when the snow sparkles at night.
This is one cool-looking suitcase. It comes from Ivorilla, a Frankfurt-based company, and it’s called the GasCase. If you’re looking to disguise your luggage as a can of gasoline, or just to have stand-out bags, definitely check these out.
I don’t know if carrying around a case that looks like it could be filled with flammable fuel is a good thing when you have to go through airport security, but hey, these look awesome.
We can always count on the guys over at TokyoFlash to come up with new and different ways to tell the time. With their modern approach to product design, they’re now asking shoppers to weigh in on prospective designs before they go ahead and create the real watches.
For those of us who grew up during the video game era, I think we all know that hedgehogs are blue, and thrive on a steady diet of shiny golden rings. Now you can show off your astute knowledge of the animal kingdom with one of these t-shirts.
Craftster member D.Bluemoon made these WoW-nderful onesies for a World of Warcraft fanatic friend who has a baby on the way:
D.Bluemoon isn’t a fan of WoW herself, so her boyfriend was the one who chose the words and terms.
From the looks of this cool new timepiece from designer Josh Chadwick, you might want to hold off until September to buy a new watch.
Chadwick recently created the design for this awesome timepiece during a design competition held by watchmaker Cadence Watch.
