Fun Sonic the Hedgehog Necklace Rules

Fun Sonic the Hedgehog Necklace Rules
Look at this playful shrinky plastic Sonic necklace from Etsy seller geekchicboutique. It’s very cool, but just because I have been charmed and distracted by it doesn’t mean I’ve forsaken my madcap Tetris obsession. I mean, even though the elusive gold rings Sonic loves to collect have been thoughtfully included here doesn’t mean I’ve lost my focus.

Evolution of Man T-Shirt is Stuck in the 80s

Evolution of Man T-Shirt is Stuck in the 80s
If you think that mankind continues to evolve, perhaps you’re wrong. According to this clever video game T-shirt, we all stopped evolving somewhere back in the mid-1980s, parked in front of a Missile Command cabinet. Depicting the gradual metamophosis from ape to human to arcade addict, this shirt doesn’t take into account the gradual decline from the upright position of Homo Erectus in the arcade to today’s Homo Potatus parked on the couch in front of the Xbox 360. Regardless of its lack of anthropological accuracy, the shirt makes for a nice retro-chic fashion statement, right down to the familiar bitmapped “INSERT COIN” type.

Blinky Sneakers for the True Pac-Maniac

Blinky Sneakers for the True Pac-Maniac
I’ve got a (Pac-Man) fever, and the only prescription is more Blinky. Well the good news is that there are certainly plenty of Pac-Man’s ghostly pals to go around on these most excellent sneakers from designer Ben Sherman. Sherman’s aptly-named Blinky Shoes are covered from end-to-end with tons of little monochromatic ghosts, with just one red Blinky hidden on each shoe.

Guitar Hero T-Shirt Lets You Play Air Guitar Anywhere

Guitar Hero T-Shirt Lets You Play Air Guitar Anywhere
If you’re way too addicted to those Guitar Hero games, you’ve got a couple of new ways to keep it with you wherever you go. A few days back, I brought you that pint-sized pocket GH LCD game.

Space Invaders Land on Your Ears and Neck

Space Invaders Land on Your Ears and Neck
Sometimes I wonder if there’s just too much Space Invaders craft out there. But can there ever be too much of a good thing? You be the judge, but I happen to think these Invaders accessories are just perfect for that girl gamer in your life. Created by Melbourne, Australia crafter contributor Pardalote, these hand-beaded earrings and necklaces feature the likeness of your favorite pixelated aliens from yesteryear. Whether you’re a fan of the original Taito arcade classic or the Atari 2600 version, they’ve got you covered. Prices for the pieces range from $15 for a simple pair of earrings up to $45 for a multi-part necklace.

Pixel T-Shirts Bring Back Atari 2600 Memories

Pixel T-Shirts Bring Back Atari 2600 Memories
These great 8-bit inspired t-shirts remind me of the wonderful simplicity and joy of the early days of video gaming. Designed by Stuart Witts, the shirts feature big, bold, blocky images of either a pair of black and white race cars or a bright green soccer player.

Space Invaders Jacket: Wrapped Up in Aliens

Space Invaders Jacket: Wrapped Up in Aliens
Here’s a true fashion statement for the videogame lover who has it all. Going all out with the retro look, this jacket is emblazoned with hundreds of pixelated little alien dudes from the arcade classic, Space Invaders. Designed by Scandanavian design mavens Junk de Luxe, the shiny synthetic look kind of reminds me of those cheezy old Members Only jackets, only further reinforcing the 1980s theme.

Mario Question Mark T-Shirt: I’d Hit That!

Mario Question Mark T-Shirt: I’d Hit That!
Sure, that Legend of Zelda quilt was pretty nifty, but this has got to be the best Nintendo-inspired item I’ve seen this week. The t-shirt just shows the ubiquitous pixelated question mark block from the Super Mario games, along with the caption “I’d hit that!”.

Pac-Man Sneakers (and a Pina Colada, My Friend)

Pac-Man Sneakers (and a Pina Colada, My Friend)
Looking for the perfect accessory to go with your Pac-Man hoodie and Pac-Man hat? How about a pair of rockin’ Pac-Man sneakers? These awesome hand-painted Pac-Man shoes turned up recently in a Flickr photostream from someone going by the name thekalaka.

LED Faux Fur Pimp Coat is a Sight to Behold

LED Faux Fur Pimp Coat is a Sight to Behold
I thought that the Pac-Man hoodie would be the most outlandish article of clothing I’d write about this week, but leave it to me to always go just one better. So without further ado, I proudly present the LED Pimp Coat… The “deluxe” color-changing coat is not only made of the finest polka-dotted faux fur money can buy, it’s loaded with over 400 colorful LEDs which let you change the outfit’s colors to suit your mood.

Pac-Man Maze Hoodie is Amazingly Ugly

Pac-Man Maze Hoodie is Amazingly Ugly
Other than the Noah Wyle with long hair and a beard look-alike dude modeling this outfit, I’m not sure who’d actually wear this ridiculously over-the-top Pac-Man themed hoodie. The lightweight black jacket has pretty much every available surface covered with a Pac-Man maze print, leaving little question that the wearer is a complete dork.

Space Invaders Rings Land on Your Fingers

Space Invaders Rings Land on Your Fingers
These geeky rings feature the likeness of those ubiquitous retro arcade game icons, the Space Invaders. Designed and handcrafted by Italy’s Toy Me Milano, the Sterling Silver rings are the perfect complement to your Pac-Man rings and Atari Joystick necklace.

Know someone who’s addicted to Portal? Here’s the perfect holiday gift for the obsessive fan of The Orange Box’s mindbending first-person puzzler. Inspired by the game’s handy Weighted Companion Cube, this pendant will accompany you through the test chamber of life.

Calculator Belt Buckle for Super-Duper-Geeks

Calculator Belt Buckle for Super-Duper-Geeks
If you wore one of those Casio calculator watches from the 80’s, here’s something else that just screams “I’m a geek, I have no girlfriend, and I don’t care.” The chrome calculator belt buckle lets you add, subtract, multiply and divide, all from the convenience of your waistline.

Is That a Wii-Mote in Your Ear?

Is That a Wii-Mote in Your Ear?
Gamer girls, if you weren’t fortunate enough to pick up the Nintendo DS necklace, here’s another fun piece of video game inspired jewelry I found. These earrings are tiny versions of the Nintendo Wii-mote controller. Artist Thiakosia hand-sculpted these tiny Wii controller earrings entirely from Sculpey polymer clay.
