While the Imperial AT-AT Walker was designed as a war machine on legs, it really ended up being quite a flop due to its fatal design flaws. That said, AT-ATs do make pretty cute pets, if you housebreak them.
At last, we have something appropriate to wear with our ugly Christmas sweaters. Check out the ‘Ugly Sweater’ colorway of Brooks’ Levitate 2 running shoes. Much like ugly Christmas sweaters, you are either going to love these or hate them.
Between my electronic gadgets and pens, it’s pretty rare that I use a pencil. Sure, I’ll use colored ones to fill in the occasional cool coloring book, but for the most part, the old #2 kind gets little use around here.
Too many of today’s pranks are cruel or downright mean. I prefer old school pranks, which are a bit more lighthearted, and not likely to end with you or your victim getting a punch in the face or a kick in the groin.
When it comes to piggy banks, they come in all shapes and sizes. However, there’s one thing pretty much all of them have in common – a single slot for coins. Why is this? Well, the guys at 25TOGO think it’s time for a new kind of piggy bank; one with more than two dozen coin slots.
The appropriately-named “Hungry” piggy bank has 25 individual slots where you can place coins.
I’d wager most people that played with LEGO growing up made cars and trucks with the bricks and promptly crashed them. Hammacher Schlemmer is offering a set of RC toy monster trucks which takes that idea and runs with it.
Crash and Rebuild Monster Trucks aren’t made from LEGO, but they do seem LEGO-like in how the bodies and drivers click into the chassis.
I love cats, but at Christmas time they love to climb the tree and ruin all of your expensive ornaments – especially when they’re kittens. It can be a nightmare scenario. They climb and sometimes knock your tree down, not even having the common courtesy to yell “timber”.
Well, it looks like Transformers are becoming a real thing if this basketball drone is any indication. But is it an Autobot or a Decepticon? It is definitely more than meets the eye. That’s all I know for sure.
So yeah, objects like basketballs are now transforming into robots.
One of my favorite characters in the entire Star Wars saga has to be Admiral Ackbar. Not only does he have an awesome alliterated name, he sounds like Doc Brown from Back to the Future, and looks like a giant bipedal fish.
Do you like to play Jenga? How about spicy tuna and wasabi? Well, have I got something for you! Sushi Stacker is a fun new tabletop stacking game that comes with planks that look like sushi instead of blocks of wood.
While you can play the game just like Jenga, the set comes with ideas for nine different games, including some that include picking up the pieces with chopsticks, playing Shogi, using them as dominoes, and some sort of Russian roulette game that I don’t quite understand.
If you have a muggle in your life that is a big Harry Potter fan, here’s the perfect wrapping paper for your Christmas gifts. You’ll pay 15 bucks for two rolls of the stuff though – not exactly cheap when Walmart has five rolls for less than that price.
What Walmart doesn’t have are rolls of paper with the Hogwarts crest or Platform 9 3/4 Hogwarts Express pattern.
I’ve often thought that in his day Edgar Allan Poe must have been whatever his generation called a goth. He had very dark ideas, and probably creeped out generations of old-timey people with thoughts of pits and sealing people into walls and whatnot.
Back in the day, a D&D session required nothing but a big bag of dice, a few geeks, and a surface to roll those dice on. That’s still how most people probably play the game, but a Kickstarter campaign has turned up for something called TableTop Tokens.
Growing up, I was famous in my neighborhood for my pickle concoctions. Essentially I did what my dad did when he cooked a steak, simply opened the spice cabinet and put some of everything on the pickles.
Celebrate the holidays in classic video game style. This Nintendo Light-Up Wreath has a Super Mario Bros 3 theme that combines one of the coolest video games ever with our favorite holiday. The pixel art wreath has power-ups and five green LEDs that blink intermittently in the center of the donut blocks.
