Man, the people who got their hands on the Oculus Rift are really desperate for something to play on their new toy. We already saw someone make a Virtual Boy emulator for the Rift, and now here’s an experience for head-mounted display about not having your head mounted on your neck anymore.

Time flies by so fast. It seems like it was only yesterday when I was complaining about homework in high school… Or hanging out with friends in college… Or scrambling for my first job interview a few weeks after graduation… The human brain can only remember so much.

Nintendo has announced a major update to its Wii U game console. The new update is available to download right now and adds a bunch of refinements and enhancements to the console’s operating software.

The Oculus Rift isn’t even out yet, but there’s already an emulator made for it. Or perhaps it’s precisely because the virtual reality headset isn’t out yet that this emulator came about. The program’s name is vbjin-ovr, an offshoot of a Nintendo Virtual Boy emulator for Windows called vbjin.

Online storage services seem like a must, especially if you’ve ever suffered from a local hard drive failure. These services will help you back up a number of items from your computers, so that you can access them from anywhere and in the event that a computer fails, you’ll have an offsite backup.

After a long period of speculation, we finally know about the “Facebook phone”. In fact, it’s not really a dedicated Facebook phone at all, but a custom build of Android which has a special Facebook home screen.

No one knows when the next major update to iOS will be released, but I’m sure everyone has an idea – more like a wishlist – of what Apple should add, remove or tweak to make using the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch a better experience.

Computer geeks have been using various flavors of 3DMark to benchmark their computers for years. The cool thing about their benchmark suite is that it has visually impressive tests that challenge both the GPU and CPU inside your computer.

Korean developer Delight Room has contributed another weapon in the never ending battle to get us out of bed. Sleep If U Can is an alarm clock app for both iOS and Android devices. It has a mode that requires you to re-take a picture before it shuts down.

There’s a long-standing request for ‘Dislike’ buttons to be added on Facebook, but I’m pretty sure that won’t ever happen unless some hackers managed to hack into the social network itself. And it’s understandable. Facebook’s stock already isn’t doing really well at this point, so just imagine the dive it would take if a ‘Dislike’ feature was somehow introduced.

I always thought the movie Face-Off was completely implausible, but science has proven that face transplants are actually possible – assuming that the donor is no longer living. While you probably never want to go through such a horrendous trauma, you can now swap faces – digitally – using an iOS app.
