Ever since watching Stephen King’s Maximum Overdrive and seeing murderous construction equipment trying to kill people, I’ve got a healthy fear of big construction equipment. Apparently, in China, no one gives a crap about tons of construction equipment having a riotous fight in the middle of a street.

I have lots of respect for the men and women of the armed forces. I also have more than a bit of jealousy for all those men and women who get to fly. Given a reboot, I would totally be a pilot flying anything that would break those Earthly bonds and whatnot.

These days, you can have a breathalyzer installed in your car, but someday the life-saving device may be able to warn you while you’re still at the party. Honda and Hitachi say they’re working on a breathalyzer that’s compact enough to be integrated into a car’s smart key.

Crazy man Mischo Erban recently grabbed a new Guinness World Record. He is now the fastest man ever recorded an electric skateboard.The record setting pace that Erban reached is 59.55 mph. The record setting run happened at Portoroz airport in Piran, Slovenia on flat ground.

We’ve seen quadcopters and robots that can fly and walk (or roll), and one that can swim and walk. The Naviator drone on the other hand is equally adept at flying and swimming underwater. Prof. Javier Diez and several of his students at Rutgers University’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering have been working on the Naviator for years, but it took off earlier this year when they received $618,000 (USD) from the United States’ Office of Naval Research (ONR), who were apparently extremely impressed by the prototype.

If you haven’t heard of the Hyperloop, you are missing something that will be awesome if it comes to fruition. Hyperloop is a very high-speed transportation system proposed by Tesla founder Elon Musk, that will carry people and cargo from place to place.

Instead of Robin, the Batmobile is the Dark Knight’s sidekick in the Arkham series finale. The degree to which it fits in the series’ gameplay is debatable, but what we can’t deny is that it looks cool.

Toyota recently invited me out to southern California to take some time getting to know the new 2016 Prius. While the Prius is known for its exceptional fuel economy and eco-consciousness, it doesn’t exactly have a reputation for being a fun or dynamic car.
