Thanks to some images that were floating around on the FCC website, rumors have floating around for a while that Sony was working on an 80GB version of the PlayStation 3. Well, it turns out the 80GB model is real.

The Nintendo Wii is arguably the most clean-lined, minimal video game system ever designed. Up until now, there hasn’t been a good way to keep system’s accessories looking as presentable. Here’s an interesting phone out of China that steals a page out of the Samsung F520 book with an interesting dual-slider design that conceals both phone and gaming controls. When oriented in portrait mode, the slider reveals a dialing and menu navigation buttons, but when turned to landscape mode, out pops a dual joypad design for playing games.

Microsoft has now confirmed that the anxiously awaited Xbox 360 FPS will make its North American debut on September 25th, 2007. European players should get the game just 24 hours later on September 26th. In addition, the Halo 3 public beta is less than a day away, and Bungie has already released this guide to whet your appetite.

All of your favorite classic Nintendo characters have now been memorialized in the  Monopoly: Nintendo Collector’s Edition board game from Parker Brothers. A team of tech wizards working with Spark Fun Electronics has built together this awesome wall-sized Tetris game that’s uses colored LEDs to animate the game. The game features a unique interface that controls the movement and rotation of the game pieces by pressing on square backlit LED buttons.

While most of the world is interested in making computers more and more portable, HP has taken the opposite approach with their high end gaming notebook. The centerpiece of the new HP Pavilion HDX is its whopping 20-inch widescreen display, capable of displaying high definition content at up to 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution (plans for a full 1080p display are reportedly in the works.)
