UK alt band, WeAreWater might sound a bit like Radiohead, but their video looks like something more appropros of a band with a name like Atari Teenage Riot. I’m a big fan of Ben Heck’s amazing console mod projects, and this one is no different. Ben’s latest challenge: turn an Atari Jaguar console into a portable. As usual, the result is quite stunning. He managed to cram the entire system into a box about 1-inch thick with a built-in LCD panel and the ability to run it off of a (somewhat unwieldy) battery pack.

According to a post at GWN, Microsoft clearly does not sanction the use of the popular Nyko Intercooler on the Xbox 360. The first Microsoft rep stated that the device simply drains too much power from the 360.

Pictures of the 20GB and 60GB models of Sony’s Playstation 3 console have surfaced and we can finally see the differences between the two models. While the 20GB model features a completely black case, the 60GB model features some (IMHO, tacky) chrome accents.

Too bad.] While the photograph below might seem a little shady, there’s a rumor on the street that Microsoft announced a 100GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 during a presentation at their Korean X06 conference.

For several years, a French artist going by the name “Space Invader” has been roaming the streets all around the world and creating subliminal (and some not so subliminal) Space Invaders tile installations in all sorts of public spaces.

For some time there have been rumors circulating around the web about Sony’s upcoming Playstation 3 and possible support for Linux. According to this press release from Terra Soft Solutions, the rumors appear to be true.

According to this post over at Kotaku, the Sony Playstation 3 will only include a crappy composite video cable when it’s released in Japan. Apparently, even though the Playstation 3 is all about high definition gameplay and movies, you’re expected to go spend even more money to get it to output onto anything other than a crummy old TV.

Boy, the reasons to NOT get a PS3 keep piling up. The folks over at Opposable Thumbs have made the astute observation that since the PS3 has no IR receiver port and only a Bluetooth remote control.
