Never Try Playing DOOM with Your Porsche 911

Never Try Playing DOOM with Your Porsche 911
Playing DOOM and driving may not be the safest thing to do. But according to software engineer Matt Swarthout a.k.a. Vexal, there is a way to actually play the game on the computer display of a Porsche 911, and using the car’s steering wheel, pedals, horn, and gear shifter to control the game.

Nintendo Switch Shown in Menu Leak Video Was Apparently Stolen

Nintendo Switch Shown in Menu Leak Video Was Apparently Stolen
Last week we talked a bit about the video that leaked showing some of the menus and UI of the Nintendo Switch console. That leak was by a dude called “hiphoptherobot,” who said of how he got his hands on the console, “It isn’t like I grabbed it off the back of a truck or anything, I just happened to get lucky because unnamed store decided to ship early for whatever reason.” Nintendo has now called BS on that claim and has issued a statement saying that the consoles used in the leak were in fact stolen.

What the Nintendo Switch OS Looks Like

What the Nintendo Switch OS Looks Like
It will be another couple of weeks before the Nintendo Switch officially starts shipping, but it looks like at least one lucky gamer already got the console/handheld hybrid in hand. Could be a shipping mistake or a hoax, so take it with a grain of salt.

Documentary Shows Real Sword Combat Was Nothing Like Video Games or Movies

Documentary Shows Real Sword Combat Was Nothing Like Video Games or Movies
I like sword fights as much as the next guy. I mean, maybe I like them more. I’m not into renaissance fairs or LARPing, but I did take fencing way back in the day. I also rather like movies and video games with sword fights because they look cool.

Surf’s Up on the LEGO Rainbow Wave Machine

Surf’s Up on the LEGO Rainbow Wave Machine
Look at that rainbow wave go. Taste the rainbow. I mean taste the LEGO. I mean, it’s just so wavy and pretty. Berthil van Beek makes many cool LEGO machines, but his latest machine is very very soothing and hypnotic.

This Hot Wheels Nightmare Is a Fever Dream

This Hot Wheels Nightmare Is a Fever Dream
The group at 5 Mad Movie Makers have created something truly stunning here. They captured POV footage of a Hot Wheels car racing through a magical world of colorful lights, glow sticks, and deadly fire. It is appropriately titled Hot Wheels Nightmare.

Transforming Ceiling Fan: More than Meets the Eye

Transforming Ceiling Fan: More than Meets the Eye
Check out this video that demonstrates the Fanimation Air Shadow ceiling fan. This thing is basically a Transformer for your ceiling. The blades stay retracted until it gets up to speed, then they spread out. I just can’t think of a good Transformer name for it.

Making Candy or Tugging on Satan’s Penis?

Making Candy or Tugging on Satan’s Penis?
One Friday night a couple weeks back I was bored and watched This is the End again. I sort of like the movie and find it sort of annoying at the same time. I forgot how much massive Satan penis was in the movie though.

This Robot Is the Best at Installing iPhone Screen Protectors

This Robot Is the Best at Installing iPhone Screen Protectors
Putting screen protectors on your phone is a pain, and let’s face it, humans are not very good at it. You get those air bubbles and dust under them, and sometimes it’s all crooked. Well, as usual, there’s a robot that can do it better.

Watch This Spinning Top with Razor Blades Slice Things

Watch This Spinning Top with Razor Blades Slice Things
This is something you should not try at home, even though it is tempting. This high-speed spinning toy can reach over 100,000 RPMs once spun up to speed with compressed air, but the what makes it dangerous are the attached razor blades.

Pet This Bunny, or Else.

Pet This Bunny, or Else.
Check out this bunny rabbit. He likes his pets. He’s brown with floppy ears and he only wants love. As long as you give him the good stuff, he’s all chill and sweet. Stop petting, and he isn’t having any of that crap.

Stranger Things Season Two Teases the Gang in Ghostbusters Garb

Stranger Things Season Two Teases the Gang in Ghostbusters Garb
I’ve said it many times. I really liked Stranger Things. It was awesome in part because back in the ’80s I was about the same age as the kids in the show, so I can relate to everything.
