We would all love to own our own full sized Transformers, but sadly, it has never been a reality. Until now. Turkish company Letvision have successfully created a working prototype, and now they plan to sell these transforming vehicles to buyers.
Drones can be pretty cool, and are a great way to capture images of whatever you are doing from the air. There are a bunch of drones out there with some of them being the cheap consumer quadcopters that you play with, and others being incredibly expensive and aimed at professionals.
During a recent typhoon in China, residents greeted the day with an unreal sight. A huge moon rolled over pedestrians and drivers, who all no doubt spotted it and at first said, “That’s no moon!” before being swallowed up by it’s cratered face.
The dream of giant robots battling it out for our pleasure is alive my friends. And almost here. The folks behind the MegaBots Kickstarter have released the first trailer for their upcoming web series which will follow the trials of building a 10-ton, 350HP combat robot.
The other day we showed you the soothing and seductive way that the folks at Let’s Melt This burned down their PS3. Technically it was more melting than burning, but that is the name of their channel after all.
Score another victory for robot-kind. A system which coordinates swarms of robots to avoid colliding with one another has been developed by a team at Georgia Tech’s GRITS Laboratory. The Safe Swarm Robotics system works by adding minimally invasive safety controllers to the robots, and it can prevent collisions in a large groups of robots that are working together.
In Sumo wrestling, two fat dudes wearing tiny outfits try to push each other out of the ring. It’s a lot of weight, and a lot of flab flying around the round ring. Robots don’t have to worry about packing on the pounds.
Simone Giertz is the queen of building crappy robots. It’s her calling. We love her for it. Her latest robot may be the cutest/crappiest robot yet.
Here’s some backstory on this sad robot dog: YouTube celeb JennaMarbles gave a shout out to Simone in one of her videos, so what better way to return the compliment than to build a shitty robot version of her dog Kermit?
Well, that didn’t take long. Apparently, some folks are already unboxing and reviewing the as-yet unannounced PS4 Slim, and now they are taking the console apart for a look inside of it. If you love to see inside of consoles, check it out.
We aren’t taking sides in the election. If you ask me, both candidates are pretty useless. One thing is for sure, you won’t be able to unsee this LEGO Donald Trump head. LEGO MOCs by KOSTISTLAC made this video of Donald Trump as a LEGO robot as he offers up a wacky rant about a defective microphone.
Breaking a bottle with your bare hands isn’t a remotely good idea. Even if you have experience breaking bottles with a punch, you could seriously hurt yourself, and even permanently damage your hand. However, it turns out there’s a way you can pretty safely break a bottle with your bare hands, by hitting it a certain way.
This Rubik’s Cube style puzzle will blow your mind. Puzzle maker Tony Fisher has created this “impossible” 1x5x5 Rubik’s cube style cuboid puzzle, and it’s so cool.
What’s so impossible about it? Well, this single-layer puzzle design would not be functional using a traditional Rubik’s cube mechanism.
IBM’s Watson supercomputer has added yet another skill to its resume: It can now make movie trailers. 20th Century Fox had Watson programmed to make the first AI-made trailer for its upcoming thriller film Morgan. It’s a fitting movie for Watson, since Morgan is a sci-fi flick about a group of scientists who created a humanoid machine that rapidly goes out of control.
